Mathmatics develops students' problem-solving, thinking and reasoning skills as well as their mental arithmetic. Mathmatics encourages students to develop a positive attitude towards mathematics and approach their work with increasing confidence and enjoyment

Results

Over the last five years examination results in Mathematics have increased significantly.

Key Stage 3 SATs results:

The number of pupils obtaining level 5 and above has increased from 48% to 70%

Key Stage 4 GCSE results:

The number of pupils obtaining A-C passes has increased from 33% to 46%
