Science

John Kelly Girls’ Technology College Science Faculty has a firm commitment to the teaching and learning of Science. We are aiming to provide the best learning environment in our science lessons with a full range of teaching methods including discussions, presentations, video clips using latest Interactive white board technology. These methods combined with highly dedicated and motivated science teachers and technical staff ensure Science lessons are always exciting and challenging.

Extra Curricular Activities

One of our strongest areas is running an extensive extra curricular programme. We are fortunate that many members of the Science staff are happy to give their time and become involved in visits to a wide range of destinations from A-level Biology field trips to residential trips in Portugal . All these visits arranged by the Sciencescience trip department are designed to cover different aspects of the curriculum. They add a new dimension to learning through their contribution to the development of Science education at John Kelly Girls Technology College and provide students with memorable moments that stay with them for life.

We aim to be inclusive, to make sure all girls take part in these activities. Therefore we arranged many different activities, all of which are designed to inspire girls to study Science.
